Well done! I really like the selective focus on the one mushroom and that the others fall into lovely softness. The nearly monochromatic color scheme is very effective, plus adding those few arching pieces of barely green grass. And a great composition with the main mushroom tallest and on one side, while the 2nd mushroom bends into the remaining space and echoes the shape of the main mushroom.
Can you explain a bit what you did in post processing Grahame? I see a stem in the middle but no cap, and also some cloning,/erase marks on the URC.
Hi, Grahame, I love the look you've achieved through post processing (like Jackie, I'd like to hear how you arrived at your final image). Also, I think you could clean up the upper left edge.

I agree about clean up a bit sloppy . There was a third fungi showing on top edge it did nothing so cloned it out left stem that should go but trickey.
Placed a light tent over fungi used 2 sb200,s facing away inside tent. Had just been reading about putting something in front of lens touching , used a piece of dried flower and VOLA will try some more did not realy now what i was doing it was a straight shot except for a small crop and clone on third fungi ( i could not believe what i got )
Yout comments and ideas please

Did you buy the light tent or make it? I have read about other macro photographers doing this.
Hi Jackie I made it . I had 2 embroidery rings 38 cms diameter each ring is of 2 parts. White card 91 cms by 42 this slips and clamps in rings one top and one on bottom also leaves slot to shoot through. Then cut a round disc 38 cms to sit on top . End result a cylinder white with white top. After set up place flash away from target different power slip tube over place top point and shoot. Vola you could change colour of card ( silver gold )
hope you can under stand me. Tube can be dismantled and erected in seconds so can be stored flat. Seams to work total cost about $15.

I agree with the comments above. Very nice composition. Nice tones. I like the selective focus. I look forward to seeing more as you continue to experiment.
Yes the soft diffused look you have achieved is very nice. Looking forward to more too. If you get a chance maybe you could post a set-up.
Thanks Anita will keep trying have a few ideas but when retired you never have any time. Love making things then move on to next idea before completing last.
