It has been a while since I made my way over to OOTB...today I visited a frog exhibit at Ontario's Royal Botanical Gardens where a Goliath Frog skeleton was on display. Goliath Frogs are the largest frogs in the world - this skeleton probably measures 12-14 inches in length. And what better filter is there to use on frogs than Fractalius :S3:
Hi Andrew, great to see you here again! I think you meant "fracted" so I changed the title for you. I love this treatment, it looks like a frog "fetish" made out of gold. For some reason I'm thinking of Gollum...

An excellent use of Fractalius.

I agree, terrific use of the Fractalius filter. Love the negative space too. Well done.

He at least looks happy without his skin, very nice. I am going to have to find some frogs this summer...hmmmm thinking about that, frogs mean swamps which also means mosquitos..., I'll stick to golf:tinysmile_shy_t:

This is quite dramatic Andrew, and would look striking on canvas! I too like the negative space:)
Wonderful colours, lovely composition and presentation:cheers:
Kind regards,

Hey, Andrew, nice to see you in OOTB. Love the fract treatment and the abstract look of the skeleton (and the dark background).:S3:

Glad to see you posting frogs again even if it's a skeleton! Very nice processing. I've been gone too, my desktop computer's motherboard died and it's been in the shop for 3 weeks or more.
