I see these little birds feeding in the mud frequently when photographing shorebirds along some inland beaver ponds and to be honest, I never paid much attention to them.
They are little beauties with really intiguing interactions and personalities!

Looks a bit contrasty from here. Good pose though, I don't see them by water like this too often. Wish the sticks weren't there.
I like these sparrows, too. The setting is not the prettiest, but there is not much you could have done about it.

Good composition and exposure Jim. Its a shame that the one branch is blocking his chest..:D
