Very delicate colours and placement Grahame. Love the water droplet. I like the pastel pinks, but might consider darkening the ULC a bit, and you seem to have a sharpening halo around the stem. Lovely image.
Nice work Grahame and good comments by Jackie. I'm not sure that sharpening is the best thing for otherwise soft-looking images like this.
Thanks Kerry and Jackie one becomes immersed in ones own images will darken top lc and halo. Image taken in circular light tent with flashes in side.
I love the position of the flower, the colors, the translucence, and especially, the drop of water. How did you do that? Unique. The texture works nicely with the flower.
I don't know if the flower is oversharpened or not. I'd have to see it without the texture. One suggestion is to remove some of the texture from the flower itself, allowing the flower to shine a bit more. I've never photographed using a light box. You achieved lovely results.
Lovely, love colors achieved here! I would consider a vertical crop for this as an alternative presentation.
Thanks Anita I used I fine insulin syringe and lots of patience the light box I used 2 embroidery rings and a sheet of white card throngs hold the card firm. Place this over flower when set up with white card on top.Used 2 sb 200 flashes on bottom facing away from set up. I use a metal (tin) base and magnets to hold subject magnets don't move. This was the first time using it was quite excited with the result the box created is round with 4 inch slit in front to poke lens in used 135 mm lens with 8 mm extension tube.
hope this helps further info let me know. Thanks for your comments over time it has helped
