A young male lion shows off his ammo at the Mara. Cloned out the back of another lion lying in front of him. Re processed some older images coz I thought this was worth re working on.

Hello Sanjeev!
I think you are "fishing" for compliments:) - this is very well captured and the colours are superb, not to mention the pose from the lion! F5.6 gave you a lovely smooth BG and the detail on the subject looks good to me. I like the sharpness too, if I really were to nit-pick I would say you could perhaps try to extract a tad more detail on those black gums, but since I am not in the habit of nit-picking I am saying I really like this very much and there's a certain "punch" you achieved here with your processing which made an impression on me. Regarding cloning - I cannot see many artefacts, save for a small area at the left shoulder of the lion:)
On a more personal note, I have really enjoyed spending almost the whole week-end on BPN, viewed some lovely images (yours included:w3) and just wanted to thank you for being what I call " a true BPN-er" (someone who appreciates, reciprocates, and improves tremendously with time in terms of photography), always a pleasure to view your work and read your comments, Sanjeev!
Warmest regards,

Hi Sanjeev - Fun pose and the cloning here looks better than on the last one though there looks to be some repetition in the cloning. I do think that you can still bring out more detail, especially in the blacks.

Rachel

Hi Sanjeev he makes fall asleep with his yawn ........... well i am bit tired to my excuse .
Lovely processed portrait with good colors , nice tonal range and a lot of fine detail to look at , well done Sanjeev . I would try to get a bit more detail from the depth of then throat :bg3: and the darks of the nose/eyes.
Well done and TFS Andreas

Hi Sanjeev, you captured what Lions do best, sit, laze around and yawn :bg3:. Can't really tell about the blacks, the light might just created some strong blacks & shadows with little detail?
