Image taken at 06:48 am... imagine a Kalahari sunrise, red dunes, the aroma of coffee still lingering in the car but the bean bags are on and fingers trembling on the shutters...Mom and cubs just finished drinking at the waterhole and moving along... apparently just before they drank there was a leopard lurking in the bushes nearby, so a bit of tension from the lioness and the little ones were not allowed to play. Don't know how she did it, perhaps a couple of soft growls or just body language, but the cubs were perfectly behaved and no tail biting or running about on this very morning...
Here's one of the two small cubs rushing to catch up with Mom...

Hi Gabriela - He comes out of the shadows nicely. Great walking pose and beautiful warm morning light. Comp works well. Overall, an image that works on all counts. Nicely captured and processed.

Lovely walking pose and even better light. I really like the ears coked back to listen foe any approaching danger from the rear. Good space, good comp....Good image!

Dan - I did consider taking off a tad but then changed my mind, curious what the other members think about this?

Gotta love that early morning KTP excitement! Great light and pose, Gabriela.
I would agree that you can shave some off the RHS, and perhaps add a hint more sharpening to the cub?

Oh Morkel, you do understand what it feels like to be there and have coffee with the lions:bg3:
I can certainly sharpen more - and I will, thank you my friend - but still afraid to take off from the RHS, the cub might walk out of the image before I know it:t3:bg3:
...been wondering how to entice you to look through your folders and join me on the new forum with a sequence or two from your Etosha trips? I know you are busy...but I also know you have some stunners in your folders...:tinysmile_shy_t:
Warmest regards, gentle sleep, and I hope you have a great day tomorrow,

Thank you Christopher, Shane, Andreas and Sanjeev:cheers:
I do realise the subject could do with a bit more sharpening though. Tried not to overdo things:)
