A lion at Masai Mara looks up from the bush as if to sniff a breath of fresh air & seems to be enjoying it. I liked the very slightly opened eye.

I like the Lion's face in the grass, although I might clone or blur the ones right in front as I feel they distract....
Thanks Dan, I already cloned out a couple of twigs in front of the face. Will try cloning out the remaining 1 or 2. I feel the grasses add a bit to portray the environment.
Hi Sanjeev i like the overall image from the technical POV , nicely processed !! Nice colors and tones , only the eye almost closed is making this work less ideal from my POV .

Hi Sanjeev - Looks like he is basking in the warm sunlight. Techs look good. Just watch the cloning because something looks slightly off with the edge of the far side chin and face.

Hi Sanjeev
Agree techs look good,good PP!
Just wondering what this would look like at f4?
For me to see at least pupil is important...
Would not like to stroll into this lady.:Whoa!:
Hello Sanjeev,
Mmmm... you must have had some nice lion encounters on your Mara trip, thank you for sharing this with us!
Despite his almost closed eyes this male lion is alert, his head is up and he is scanning the horizon:) The pink nose tells us he is still young, the mane is barely there... but I detect some attitude:)
Dear Sanjeev, I like everything about this image save for the cloning around the muzzle: if I were you I would have left those grass blades in - they do not take away too much from the subject itself, and this image is (to me at least) all about this youngster waiting for the opportunity to prove himself as a hunter. So I do not mind him being somewhat concealed among the grass he is lying in.
And I will echo everyone above regarding techs - really good, and comp is also great, same goes for colours and tonality.
Warmest regards,
Nice framing here, Sanjeev, as if you were on foot and came up on the lion unexpectedly.
I agree the cloning work is patchy in places, and I too like the squinting eye.
Andre - "lady"?? :t3
Very nice detail and I love the complimentary tones. I wish you could see more of the eye but I know that nature doesn't always play ball.
