Theme: Waves of Color

This image is actually an alcove of La Famiglia, the church in Barcelona that was started by Gaudi and is still under construction almost 100 years later. It is rotated 90 degrees CCW. Before rotation, the white area was the wall at the far end of the alcove, and most of the rest of the image was ceiling / wall leading up to the white wall...all in Gaudi's creative style. There were columns on the left side but I cropped them out. I applied CEP (Photo Stylizer) which altered the color scheme, increased vibrance a bit, and rotated it to create a more effective abstract piece.

By the way, I burned down the white section, which increased the blue shades, which I liked because it picked up the colors on the left side of the image.

Wow, wow, wow!! Excellent work. Love the shapes, the repetition, the colors, the light, the textures, the shapes, the gradual darkening from lower right to upper left. It could be anything. It makes me think of mountain ranges. How did you get those marvelous colors? I love this! I had to look up this amazing church.

Greetings. The color and patterns are very cool. I particularly like the detailed geometric patterns and the diagonal composition. You might find 180 degree rotation interesting... it places the dark corner in the bottom right, and the darker part of the image in general at the bottom. For reasons I don't understand, those two changes really pops the three dimensional cues.

Ah, Barcelona and Gaudi! I was there many years ago as a non-photographer and will return with my camera! La Sagrada Familia... suspect it will not be finished for another 100 years.

What ever it is its eye catching, very cool work...what did the original look like?

I like it both ways.

If I had to pick, I would go with the second. The colours, shapes, and flow are lovely. It would be interesting to see the original.

What a wonderful vision and execution! I love it. I liked the original and I think the rotated version kicks it up a notch. It looks like I would imagine some alien landscape or structure. Very cool! :5
