I almost put this little chap in the macro forum! The last couple of days have seen exceptionally high tides on the River Dee, the voles, rats and mice get flushed out with the high water and many get snapped up by the birds but in this case by a Labrador retriever, the good news is he survived! (No it wasn't my dog Barney, he is a curly coated retriever:w3)
All C&C welcome

Sorry for the typo - not only bad spelling - wrong title! The mouse is a Harvest mouse.

Hi Jonathan - It's a tough one because I understand why you went with the pano comp to include the entire twig on the diagonal but I find that twig drawing my eye and attention. Nice detail and color on the mouse but I do find the pile of debris to be a bit dominant.
I'll change the title for you.

Rachel

I like this very much as is! The twig acts as a leading line towards the mouse, a strong diagonal - but that's just my opinion of course. Very cute!

Nicely done! I like this pano crop as well. IQ is very good and I love the twig "island" it is resting upon

Thanks for the feedback, this was the highest tide in 18 years so these opportunities are few and far between.

Hello Jonathan,
Sorry to come in so late, just wanted to say I am a big fan of your mouse image, he is extremely cute and so minute in comparison with the twig! I like your composition as well as colours and sharpness, ticks all the boxes for me:)
