Theme: Red Barns

These harvested corn fields are a common sight here in winter.

Processed in Elements 10, basic adjustments; Topaz Detail: Feature Enhancement; CEP: Tonal Contrast, Brilliance/Warmth/Contrast only/White Neutralizer (I just kept playing around); Viveza; textures by Shadowhouse Creations and Coffee Shop.

As I look at the image posted, it seems to have a bit of a red tint, not sure I like that.

I appreciate all comments, including those telling me my image is problematic.

Hi Anita, the magenta color cast was something I was going to mention but otherwise this is a very nice image. I like the pleasing composition, with the open field leading to the buildings. Nice subtle bit of red to catch the eye and keep it there. Well done!

yes, the repost is much better. More "natural" allowing the red barns to stand out. Makes me "homesick" for my days in York, Pa and visits to your area.

Wonderful image Anita! Love to see a snowy scene since I rarely get to in MS. I kinda liked the reddish tint!

Great leading line with the corn, diagonal line of the horizon and red accents in the buildings. Lancaster Pa. is my wife's home. I have fond memories of the area. Your image catches it's essence.

I think the repost looks better Anita because it looks colder. The harvested corn provides great lines to draw you to the buildings, accented by the two red barns on either side. The otherwise stark image is somewhat softened by the inclusion of the tree. Well seen and photographed.

Lovely bucolic scene -- reminiscent of an Andrew Wyeth! Although I liked the red tints, the colors in the RP are a little more fitting for the cold day.

I love the scenery I see from your area and need to visit it some day -- my ancestors settled there in the 1730s, but soon moved to NC, maybe in search of a warmer climate.

Thanks, Diane. The scenery around here is gentle and agricultural. I spent my high school years in the Peruvian Andes, and I miss the mountains.
