I was at Gatorland last Sunday morning and there were chicks all over, especially tricolored heron chicks. These two were up in the trees with a nice clean BG, for a change. Taken with the D300 and Nikon 500 f4, f 7.1,1/2000, ec -.33 iso800, Thanks for looking and commenting.

Cool capture and well composed Nancy. I love the alert pose of these two little juvies. Wonderful to capture two with similar poses and good eye contact.. Excellent exposure and color with good detail. The heads appear a tad soft on my monitor, Many thanks for sharing.
I agree with Judy Lynn on all points. Love the colour patterns on the wings, and I like the double pose :-)
Double pose in excellent and lovely colors and compo. Can't comment on sharpness because working on my laptop and with old glasses, need to be off contacs for a week. so I trust the previous posters. Easy to fix if it is the case.
Thanks all for the comments. I really liked the colors, especially up against the BG. Fabs, I know what you mean about the glasses and such. I hate them:(. One of the things I hate about getting old, or should I say more mature :).
