Beautiful, Karl. Seeing this from a 7D Mark II brings my hopes up! I'd be curious if you wouldn't mind sharing your settings.
Are you using ACR or DPP for your raw conversion?
Nice details Karl of this tiny bird.
it looks like you need a shorter lens to me.....
Karl excellent detailed and colourful frame filler, you must be getting really up close.
Hi Karl, beautiful bird, wonderful colors and detail. The detail in the feathers is excellent. If parts of the perch was not out of focus it would be over the top. Thank you for sharing.
Great close up Karl . Bird spot on.
I agree with Joseph - the perch takes the edge off it a little. Maybe not so big in frame may have helped.
Cheers

nice exposure and BG, I agree it's to big in the frame and the tail looks sharper than the head, looks like the critical focus was there...

Overwintering warblers would be such a treat to have...glad you are taking advantage of this phenomenon. Beautiful subject set against a nice BG. Bummer the perch cuts across the feet, and yes, artistically the subject is quite large in the frame. Keep them coming, I've been enjoying your winter warbler series....
Excellent image. Superfine details on warbler, beautiful colors and backdrop.
Do agree about tight crop.
Wish You Happy New Year and Happy Birding....2015.

Satish.
