Here’s my first posting on the wonderful site.
The shot isn’t quite as sharp as it should be -- perhaps I can blame that on the dismal light at Conowingo dam this past Monday morning :S3:.
I like the eagle looking directly at the camera and the evident juiciness of the catch.

Warren, you need to remove the [IMG] at both ends for the link to be clickable. I did a cut and paste but some may not know to do that. Just a thought.

Dynamic pose, fish is a real plus. Soft background, good eye contact.
With that focal length and bird in flight coming right at you, I would try for faster shutter speed. I know you were light limited, but I would have been tempted to push the ISO up. A sharp, slightly noisy picture is better than a noiseless soft image, IMO.
From a comp. standpoint, maybe a sliver more room on top and right so that the wing tip isn't quite so crowded in the corner.

I like the pose, fish, water trailing off. I agree with you that the subject is soft, bummer as the image design overall is pretty neat.
