This is a partially restored homestead in Winter Park, Colorado. In the winter you can only reach it on cross-country skis or snow shoes. I lightened the original in 10 increments using curves. I wanted to control just how light the image became. Then I used PS filter, sepia and Nik Viveza to add some structure. Also a layer of Topaz Detail 3. The wreath is clip art with a reduced fractalius effect.
PEACE & HAPPINESS TO ALL!!!

Beautiful! Excellent work. The wreath looks like it was there to start with. Beautiful scene, great composition. I would not change a thing.

I love the rustic look of the homestead and your processing is wonderful. The wreath does look like it was there all the time. Beautiful work!

Thanks all! And I did ski to this. There are many buildings like this in the area and they are fun to photograph. I have only been here in the winter as the "East Coast" adult kids and grandkids love to ski and we often all spend a week here together over the holidays.
