This image contains the same elements as my previous post from the boat graveyard but the viewpoint 180 degrees reversed. A three exposure HDR image taken into the setting sun.

The sky is wonderful and so is the composition. I love the rails leading you into the image past the derelict boat and shed. The only thing I might try is lightening up the blacks, they look pretty dark on my monitor.

Hi, David, I like this composition also and the HDR processing. I agree with Jackie on the blacks and I'm also seeing a halo around the buildings on both the left and right as well as the edges of the boat.:S3:

I like the very appropriate grunge effect here! Great composition with all the radiating lines from the horizon; the clouds, the tracks and even the planks on the boat. The soft golds from the setting sun add a lovely bit of color to this scene.

Excellent composition: leading lines, huge foreground and diminishing perspective, colors and shapes in the sky. The processing of this image seems different from the prior image, which I preferred, as it brought out many beautiful textures.

I had to go back and look at the earlier post, which I liked very much. This one -- because of the drama and arrangement of the elements -- is more powerful and appealing than the other. Ordinarily, I'm not a fan of HDR grunge (although I shoot almost exclusively HDR), but it really works, here. In addition to the artistic layout, the warm/cool contrast makes this stand out. Very nicely done.
