I've been seeing more and more cell phone images showing up here, so I decided to share a few too. On a recent bird walk that I host there were two ladies with cameras asking for photography tips. One of them said "I can't get very good pictures with this cheap camera". Well, that always gets me going, so I said "well, how about I take a few pictures right here where we're standing using my phone to illustrate that it's not about the camera?" This is one of those full-frame shots, processed with Snapseed HDR on my Galaxy S5 phone then given an oil painting treatment with Alien Skin Snap Art.

A beautiful painting, Kerry. I'm so happy I have an iPhone and there are so many fun apps to use:S3:

Beautiful scene--peaceful. I like the pale colors, the shapes of the trees, the apples, the blurred bg, the texture. All work to create a lovely image. It makes me wish I had a smart phone. :S3:

Funny thing, I had a similar experience in the eastern part of the country during the holidays. Your image makes the point very well. The path makes a great lead-in, and you've captured the depth nicely with the foreground, midground, and background trees. I like your processing, too.
For a while, I've been wondering about auxiliary lenses for smartphones, and I got a set for Christmas so don't have to wonder any more. We just got home this afternoon, so no processing, yet, but I'm optimistic about the results.
