This is quite lovely Jackie. I really like the echoing of the flowers' colors in the background. Nice use of textures. I would be tempted to add a bit more dark vignette to keep the eye on the flowers.
Love the softness and the blended bkgd textures and colors! For me I would like more separation between the bud and the flower. The whitish glow puts a lovely delicate spotlight on the flowers.
I like this a lot. And the title is great. The green bracts almost seem like a pinwheel, and the curve of the flower head reinforces that. That curve flows very nicely into the softer whites of the background, and I like the way the brighter whites contrast with the flower heads. The composition is great, and there's a nice variability and progression in the background greens. Did I mention I like this?
Very engaging image, Jackie. Really enjoy the mood this creates. Based on the title, I like the "head on shoulder" Comp.
Love the thread title, very nice work. Love the resulting images.
Thanks for the comments. Dennis I never noticed the pinwheel til you mentioned it. I used a feature in liquefy called PushLeft to accentuate the bracts even more. It is subtle and doesn't push the pixels around too much to the point where it looks cartoonish.
Love how these two flowers cross, that both are white, that the bg is green, with that line coming in from the right to the flowers, and the white bg. I guess I like it all!
