Pelican skimming right above the water

This is another image I got while out with James. It is great watching them flying right above the water. Taken with the D300 and Nikon 70-300VR lens, f 7.1, iso 320, 1/1600

A nice shot, Nancy. Super sharp. Light seems good perhaps a bit bright. The ripple in the water is a great plus!

As Paul mentioned........the head is a bit bright in the whites.........but it does look like there is detail in there. The wing drag is a huge plus to a nice topside view! I might be tempted to take a 1/3 off the top.........thus emphasizing the drag.

Very well done on the repost work, Nancy. The crop made the biggest improvement, in my opinion.
