Remask & Impression
Gorgeous colors, Mitch! I like the placement of the gull so that wing is in front of most of the bright sun, keeping it from blinding the viewer.
Beautiful colors, light and background, Mitch! I am viewing it on my laptop, which doesn't have the best display, but I think I am detecting noise in the background. If others see it, it may be worth running noise reduction selectively on the sky.
I like the colors, too. Also, the way the profile of the gull matches the nearby darker parts of the image. Is what looked like noise to Wendy, instead, what Impression produced?
Wendy,
Thank you for pointing out the noise/texture in the background. It was introduced by the software (Impression). After considering your post, I have decided that it was too much. Sometimes I don't spend enough time looking at all the features of an image. Do you think this repost is better? I think it is...
Thanks again.
Mitch
Dennis,
Yes, it was a canvas texture added by Impression. After considering Wendy's post, I think it was too much. I reduced the texture and have reposted it.
Thanks.
M.C.
I do like the combination of those glorious sky colors and the softened look from reducing the texture.
Mitch...yes, reducing the texture really improved the image. It's beautiful!
Mitch, I'm a fan of grain so I think maybe something in between would look nice. The repost seems just a little too smooth for me. The image is very nice:S3:
I'll agree with above comments, something in between. This is a very nice composition Mitch.
Very nice! -- I'll go with in-between.
