Wishing you a great Sunday,
Hi Gabriela ,
it is late already but will try to type a decent comment with small wording but an RP and you see what i feel :bg3:.
Love the scene and the moment with the Gemsbok on the dunes you photographed , well done .
I would just crop slightly different and some small color and tonal adjustments .
Have a great weekend , cheers your Mr B.E.
Hi Gabriela - great thinking in the field and Andreas's rp has taken it up a notch. I'm glad to see you experimenting a bit and also looking at the wider view.
TFS,
Rachel
Lovely image and mood here, Gabriela. Agree that Andreas' RP takes it up a notch by darkening the FG, cropping in a bit, and adjusting the tones in the sky. I would also consider cloning out the few grasses that give the appearance that they are "growing" out of the gemsbok's back and backside.
I like it Andreas, very very much! I was undecided about the dunes, whether to loose them or not. I really like the colours, the mood, really beautiful! I will redo this as per your RP and ask Andre to print it for me, thank you Andreas!
And thank you Mark, will look into the vegetation issue, eish I have been trying to give up cloning:bg3:
Hi Gabriela glad you like it , btw the dunes are having a strange color in OP (not that much when viewed in PS ) , was the reason for me to go really dark in the dunes .
I am actually ok with the stuff above and around the Gemsbok !!!! no need for cloning , for me .
Cheers Andreas
Awesome image, fantastic scene and mood on display. I like the RP by Andreas as it takes this up further. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Sanjeev, I too agree Andreas has the edge with his RP! Especially since he was there and I think he understands so well the mood I was trying to portray.
Once again Thank You Andreas!
Proper shot Gabriela, love it, makes me miss the Kalahari so much!
Andreas' RP has taken it to another level, eh, the darker tones on the dune help you focus on the bare essentials - oryx, sky, mood :5
Thank you Morkel, I miss the place too. Less than three months to go. Hope to see you there again some day:w3
Hi Gabriela, Andreas's post is where it needs to go, nice thinking & comp, love the colours.
TFS
Steve
Love the mood portrayed here. Colors beautiful and yes I think Andreas's repost does improve it but it was your vision that captured it. TFS
Thank you Steve and Carl,
I completely agree with you both, and something to learn here from Andreas's RP.
I just couldn't take away that red from these dunes... Still can not do it. I am stubborn. I know sometimes one has to choose what to keep in an image and what to let go, but maybe I just love the place too much. In the summer months the dunes become green, after the rain there's no more red sand, just flowers and succulents and lovely tall yellow grasses - the dunes disappear in the landscape.
Have a great week-end,
and hope to see you soon, Carl:bg3:
