Great timing Ned and I love the action you captured with very nice exposure. I do find the crop to be tight on the top and as I was studying this image I do think a vertical crop would work well . It appears to be a steep angle and would it have been possible to have moved back to lessen the steepness. Still wonderful to catch this kind of image and many thanks for sharing.
I agree with Judy Lynn in regards to composition. I like the female holding on tight and getting ready for contact!

Great catch... and on top of a cactus no less. I'd agree with adding a bit more headroom or trying a vertical crop. I'd also suggest brightening the birds a bit.
Hi Ned, An obviously great job of capturing the peak of the action. If you had been ten yards to your left you would have better paralleled the subject. Great to see you here and love to you and Linda.
