Hi Scott !!! Love the flight position and huge fish his carrying !!!!

Did not list the exposure compensation (big time important) but I think it was under exposed? Would brighten the image as presented. The face looks very dark and would like more detail under the wings. From the look of the sky you had a good day!!!

Not sure how you manage to make this one with your short lens. I had to use a 600 2.X for full frames like this one !! Most were landing on the rock off the point. One day we did have some landing on our side. btw what par of July? Trying to figure when they start to bring fish !!!

You got there a couple of weeks after us, neat place!! And congrats for getting this with such a short lens, we weren't that lucky.
It looks as if it could go a little brighter, but I'm on my laptop, can''t ever be sure...

Cool pose and wing position but I agree with Al and Fabs the image looks like it is a stop or so under. The fish looks right on the edge of being blown but the bird is dark.

Thats 2 fish alfred! They use their tongue to hold up to a dozen fish of more at once.

Agree that it's dark, but what a nice capture with two fish and wings fully extended. FUn birds!

this was crop. if you guys can remember the area correctly i stood on the rocks to the right of the lighthouse. the puffins were flying over my head with meals in their mouth while returning to the island they nest on.

Alfred, the capelin start to arrive around the shores of NL at the end of June. the date of this photo is the 28th of July if i remember correctly. at that time there were also a few pods of Humpbacks circling Cape Bonavista for two or three days. it was all quite a sight i must say.

Simply lightening the faace and especially the eye would improve the look of the image quite a bit. Agree with Grace on the plusses.
