I used NIK Fog, Detail extractor, D/L center and three different layers of textures. Cropped to a 16 by 9, and the original raw file pushed way to the right in the exposure. Maybe not white on white, but close.:w3

There are so many things good about this . . . the contrast between the sharp beak (in more ways than one) and eye and the rest of the image, the colors (WOW), the overall softness, and they way the lower part of the bird blends into the background. Often, a greater part of the bird is featured in photos, but this closeup gives it a wonderful shape. Beautiful job on this from start to finish.
