Too late for the Water theme

Another image from New Brunswick. This was taken in the town of Saint Martins where we were staying in the most wonderful bed and breakfast. I went for a long walk the first morning and it started raining. The town has two covered bridges close together - this is the one leading out of town. It was gently raining and I had placed a plastic rain cover tightly over the lens to get some diffusion. Then I did a slow vertical pan blur (.3 sec. @f/22, ISO 100). I added a texture blended with 50% Overlay to add more dimension and give it an old painting look.:S3: I plan on using this for one of my photo encaustic pieces.

I like the composition and that you included the covered bridge without making it the focal point of the scene. The vertical pan and, probably, the plastic cover make it look like a heavy rain, which works well with the body of water. This looks like a great candidate for encaustic.

Definitely a water image. Thanks for explaining how you took the photo. Wonderful composition. It has a Pointillism look.

Love it!! The pastel look suits the rain. (I keep hearing about rain, but don't really remember what it is...)
