I am visiting central South Carolina soon and wondering if Sandhills Wildlife Refuge or Santee Cooper Wildlife refuge are worth visiting this time of year. Anyone have experience or knowledge of these places?

Nope, but Huntington Beach State Park can be pretty good at most seasons. Not sure if that is SC or NC..... It is right on the coast.
