The combination works well. I like the limited use of flood in this one as it doesn't overwhelm the mood or setting. The lighting is convincing with just enough shadow detail present on the boat. Only thought would be to selectively brighten the center of the sail outward, as though the sunlight were pouring in from behind. Gorgeous colors, well executed.
Nice positioning of the sail so only part of the sun shows. Reds are gorgeous and I like how you have them reflected in the water and that the sail has red. Randall has an interesting suggestion with the lighting on the sail.
Hi, Mitch, nice image. I like Randall's suggestion.
WOW! My only suggestion is, frame it!
I'm only on my iPhone this am, trying to choke down a road food breakfast in a western fishing town -- can't wait till I'm home this evening to see it on the big screen!
The food is bad but the photography was good.
I like this one. It looks quite natural. The colors are believable and the light is even.
A realistic pleasing composite image. Trying Randall's suggestion would be interesting. On my monitor I'm seeing a dark patch in the water along the left edge that does not appear to fit.
Now on the big screen, and it's still stunning! Agree about the dark patch -- I didn't notice it on the iPhone. A little cloning to make the edge more jagged and less obvious would do it.
I now see a tiny white outline around the sail and one of the people in the boat -- easily fixed with some careful tweaking of the mask on that layer, or possibly with defringe.
