Hi, Grahame, I think it's lovely and I don't think I'd change a thing:S3: I love the way the colors in flower are reflected in the background.
Lovely composition with lots of subtle & interesting colors and shapes! The more I look at those subtleties the more fascinating it becomes! I really like those little blue "bee-like" shapes both in front of the flower and repeated on the left side. Gives the image a bit of tension and action. I also like that pearlized looking light coming in from the top and onto the upper petals. A very tiny change could be to remove that pale petal under the leaf on the left side. I barely notice it but it seems somewhat out of place. But really, this is great just as it is!

Grahame, I don't know that there are any right or wrongs when using software such as DAP. The detail strokes that look like bees really add to the image as noted. The colors work well together. I hadn't noticed that lower white petal on the first go round, but agree with it's removal. I might try taking a sliver off the right side to lessen the darker edge. Interesting piece, would enjoy seeing more.

Greetings. I particularly like the detail brushing in the bg and the composition along the diagonals. The straight edge on the right could be broken up a little, especially toward the top right corner, but it's a small thing that I noticed after much inspection. Overall, a very good looking image to my eye. Thanks for posting.

I love this one. What is right? The colors, the image design, and the effect are lovely. What is wrong? The greens below the right-most petals are too dark--they upset the balance.
Thanks Arthur I have dine what you suggested and printed it on Japanese rice paper and have to admit I am pretty happy.

Thanks Grahame. It is better, but I was thinking a bit more like the repost. Fast and dirty without a ton of pixels to work with in the JPEG. I am sure that if you want to you could do a much better job with the TIFF and DAP at your disposal :)
ps: the repost obviously needs a bit more texture in the repaired areas :)
I very much like the colors, the composition, and the painterly look. Here's another look at the lower right. I did a Select>Color Range followed by lightening with a Curves adjustment layer. (The tones didn't transfer too well when it uploaded . . .)
