This is quite a pleasing image in lovely habitat. I think I would crop out the darker grasses at the top. I tried it and like it.
Nice habitat and bird in beautiful light.
Lovely colors and bird is nicely incorporated into habitat. I agree with Marina. I would brighten just the bird's face.
Nice habitat and image design. From here on GGI it looks overall too dark and as if the bird needs to be sharpened a bit. Lastly the head is turned away a bit too much.
Thanks for all of your comments and suggestions. With the head angle being slightly off, I guess re-posting with the other suggested changes will not help this image enough. I'll post another image of this bird tomorrow incorporating the suggestions. Thanks again!
Love this Gary :S3: Very pleasing to the eye.
It's a very nice image of this species in great habitat. I do like the idea of cropping the upper part out....it's an added bonus that the bird's legs are nicely seperated, as I think in most cases that improves a shorebird image....Have to agree that since the light is coming slightly from your left side, a bit of head turn back towards you and the light source would have been optimal...I know I would have pished a few times in this scenario to gain the head turn....Even so, with the bird a bit smaller in the frame, the head angle is less important imo, and works better as is here, versus if the bird had been shown larger in the frame.
