I took this image in 2010 on a trip to Texas, we were driving out of the mountains as the sun was setting. Pretty much out of the camera except I darkened the mountains to remove any detail.
Added the vulture and frame. Thanks for looking.

The bird adds the touch of life the image needs. Nice contrasts of colors
Very nicely put together! The vulture is the perfect addition giving the viewer something to focus on. The glow behind the silhouetted mountain is beautiful, and making the mountain just a dark silhouette really sets it off. Love what you did with the framing, having it gold against the black mountains, and black against the golden sky. Subtle but very effective!
Dramatic! I like the paper-cut-out look of the mountains and vulture against the glowing sunset. The frame works. I think I would like it without also.
Very simple and beautiful Paul.
Stunning! Is this down around Van Horn, by chance??
Paul,
Greetings. The frame adds a strangely modern look to a classic Southewestern scene. Kinda cool that. Thanks for posting.
Cheers,

Hi, Paul, I don't know how I missed this but I really like the simple, graphic look. The frame adds a nice touch, too.:S3:
Love the bright lemon-yellow glow and the neat frame too. I'd move the vulture back one inch to the right as presented to improve the compositional balance.
