Grace asked me on the other day as to what kind of fish the Ospreys were catching.
I did not have the answer but I promised to post one that shows the fish better.
Here it is.
Thanks for looking.

(I wish I had had the extender on as it is a large crop this way)

Nice action, Karl and eye contact from both fish and bird. Pity for the light....it would be nicer if it was softer for the head of the bird. I wish to be lose to action like this...only happened once for me. Well done.

Karl:
THis one does show the fish much better, but fish ID not my strong suit!
Great action, harsh light, bit nervous bg.

This image is very cool showing the catch and how the osprey is gripping it with its talons. You managed a good flight pose. Unfortunately, the light is harsh and the BG very busy.

Excellent shot, Karl! Though the light was a bit harsh and the reach was not enough, you managed to get a superb pose. Well done!

Nice capture Karl and one I appreciate even more because the osprey was not baited.
Agree with the above comments.

Hi Karl, lovely banking pose from the Osprey, and a great view of his catch. Coming from Africa, Im fine with the BG. Not sure what other BG one could have seeing this is captured in their backyard.
