A family of House Wrens are frequenting a nest box along a bluebird nest box trail, as is often the case. Instead of having them land directly on the box before going in I fastened a perch close to the entrance. They immediately accept it and use it, as is also usually the case:S3:.
Canon 7D + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/500s., f/5.6, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, about 85% FF, "greened up" the BG that was yellower in the raw file than in the field.

Technically superb as usual. As a general observation, my personal preference is for a little more natural variability in the background. Regards, Ian.

Great image. Thanks for sharing your setup with us. I like the bird pose (typical for that species) and eye contact (looks like its checking you out). Detail looks very good and the BG is nicelu blurred. TFS

A nice image! I like the way the wing feathers are separated.
The diagonal perch is a plus.
IQ as always is excellent.
The BG is quite plain but certainly shows off this little bird beautifully.
