These small imports have taken a liking to my backyard feeders. I have a flock of about two dozen birds that have made my yard their year round home.

This is really special.
I have never heard of this finch before so a real pleasure to view.
IQ and perch are excellent and I love the composition you chose.
One to be proud of,

Glenn:
Lovely pose, head angle. Soft light, but enough direction from the left to give some depth to the image. Soft background.
Wish the tail wasn't so completely blocked. Could see a version cropped as a vertical if the IQ will hold up.
Nice visitors!
Cheers
Randy

Very nice Glenn. I've got to get over to your backyard soon to get a shot of these guys. The detail and the colors look great and the perch and comp you chose are perfect. Well done

Love the alert pose. Nice overcast light. Details look great, and colours too. Do you have a bit more room below to avoid clipping the lowest flower down there below the tail? I also wish the oof FG flower was not there. Still a very strong image of a striking species...likely offspring of escapees?

Beautiful bird, nicely shown. Love the colors and patterns of the feathers and the perch. Good exposure and detail. If mine I would crop it to vertical and eliminate the vegetation and out of focus flower Daniel commented on. Thank you for sharing.
