One more post for this month's theme. Smoke from fires and thunderstorm clouds contributed to the color, breezes blurred the grasses. 5DMKII, 700mm, f6.3, 1/800s, ISO 4000, HH supported on fencepost, small crop from right (as viewed) and top, cloned out single blade of lighter grass across the body and piece of hanging fur (shedding,) processed in DPP and PSE10.

Hi Steve - Nicely done. I like the pastel colors of the sky and the placement of the pronghorn in the frame. Just a touch of detail coming through works. Since you are not against cloning, I might consider cloning out the brighter pink spot in the layer of purple.

Hi Steve i am with Rachel here about your image in general , like the pastel colors a lot.I would leave the spot where it is ,but would sharpen the subject a bit more .
Nicely done .

Ticks all the boxes here Steve, really like the colour and associated mood you've captured with just a hint of detail on the pronghorn, agree with Rachel on the pink spot in the sky.

Hi Steve, agree on the above comments, just the right amount of detail in the subject for me.

Proper shot Steve!!
Agree with all above, and the pink spot doesn't phase me a bit...but that's just me. :t3

This is brilliant, Steve! Wish it was mine!
The colours are stunning, I personally have no problem with the bright spot, or spots, anyway I seem to only notice such things after everyone else did:bg3:
This is one of your most interesting and unusual shots as far as I am concerned, I am following your posts with great interest and hope you keep them winners coming!
Kind regards,

Cracking colours in the background with the beautiful outlines of this animal make for a top image. I like the way you can still see some detail on the animal Steve.

Lovely - would agree with a bit more sharpening on the subject.
