I captured this one yesterday evening at my local loch.

Lovely portrait of this cute bird. Perfect exposure, super details and nice color combination.

Often a difficult bird...they are hardly ever still. Nice work here.

Very nice. Good IQ and nice colors.
The OOF green grasses minimize the impact of the railing which is good.
Whites are a bit hot on the head. I wonder if you can rescue them?

I enjoy the look of the image. Particularly the bird against that beautiful blue water bg. The thin line of grass on the bottom of the frame spruces up the image nicely. Handsome bird! The splayed tail is a nice detail. I agree with Gail that some of the white highlights look a bit hot.

Thay certainly don;t hang about ! Well grabbed. Maybe a sliver off the top ?- no big deal

Nice profile pose. Good colours, and I too like the strip of greenery at bottom. Some of the whites are indeed hot and worth revisiting in post.

I think, I have managed to tone down the hot whites a wee bit on the head
