Super preening pose with great amount of detail, clean BG and sharp as heck! TFS.

Hi Nick, you have some great detail especially in the black plumage, can't find any nits to pick, looks like a great piece of work .
Cheers Keith.

Very nice portrait. I enjoy the crop choice...well balanced to my eye. Beautiful bird and the exposure was nicely handled. For web presentation, running a small amount of NR on the background would not hurt here. I see the familiar 7d noisy bg greens that I'm used to from my 7d too :)

Thanks for the comments. I did give the background some Dfine 2.0 noise reduction Shawn, maybe a second dose would have helped. I must admit I look forward to upgrading the 7D.

Nick you were close to the bird, superb details and exposure looks spot on
the details and the head pose really couldn't get my eye to the BG , infact when i read your comment on the 2nd round i re-looked at the BG,
I find it lovely image as is

Lovely portrait with excellent techs. Nice pose captured against a great BG.
A nice example where square comp works well imo.

Thanks again. I was fortunate that there was some thin cloud to subdue the bright sunlight.
