The textures on the top of the frond are really cool Anita. The fern looks like it is coming out of some kind of cosmos. I feel like I am in a lull right now too. Maybe the lousy weather we have been having.....
As always, Anita, very creative and interesting textures applied to a simple subject. I like that the colors and textures are very earthy for the unfolding fern. I think it is good to get away from something for awhile so you can come back fresh and eager. Even photography can become routine.
This might be my favorite time in the life of a fern. I like the way the fern transitions into the background and the fern's orientation with respect to the combination of textures. Although I really like it, I'd be inclined to flip it horizontally.
Photographic lull??? I'm sometimes guilty of work-around-the-house lulls, but photographic . . . Never.
not sure lull is the right word, but then, sometimes life can step in and take up so much attention that we let photography slide. Makes it all that much more sweet when we can return.
I love the texture Anita, and of course the shape of the emerging fern is very eye-catching. Nice work! I have been in a lull only because I've been busy working on the yard and other graphic-related projects. BTW some nice free textures here: http://www.jaiart.com/freetextures
Thank you all for the feedback. I especially appreciate the support and encouragement re. my lull--it is not the end of my photography. Dennis: good for you re. never having a photographic lull. Thanks, Judy, for the link to more free textures.
