I like that strong diagonal that doesn't go through the corners. The vignette and background make great additions to the negative space. The earthy colors are very nice, too. I wondered about increasing the saturation of the greens and yellows a small amount to emphasize the forsythia with respect to the vignette, but I like it just the way it is.

Anita, I like this image very much. Cheryl and Dennis have commented on the strong composition. The soft yellows and greens, the texture and vignette all work.
I like the framing and the receding focus. I think of forsythia screaming spring and therefore might change the hue of the BG to something more spring-like. I think the darker hue of yellow looks more like fall to me.

We just returned from Smoky Mts NP, where I got to try my new 100mm macro on some of the wildflowers up there. Still working on the images. It was a good week there, you would enjoy it. Wildflowers and water falls were our goal.
The third is my favorite. It looks more Spring-like than the first, and the forsythia takes center stage. I'm guessing it's one of the textures that's showing up more in this one, and I like the lines it gives in the lower right. They complement the rest of the image very well.

I prefer the OP over the Rp's strictly for the darker tones, and prefer the textures in the last version though it is a strong contender for my favorite version.
