Hundreds of these have recently arrived in one of my usual spots. For some reason they all line up on barbed wire fences preferring this to a more natural perch

Thanks Alan, i didn't like the barbed wire either but this is where these buntings like to hang out unfortunately
Will try for a more natural perch next time I am in that area

In this case, I don't find the barbed wire to be an issue. Super pose and BG. I think I would take some off of the bottom and left to tighten it up just a tad. Well done.

Hi Shane, I like the angled pose, sharp where it counts, and before reading Marina's comment, I would have suggested to take some off the bottom. Clean BG.

Did a quick crop as suggested and removed some sharpening which I had applied by mistake to the barbed wire. Hopefully it will stand out a bit less now

good HA and BG, the barbed wire doesn't work here IMO.
