I took this image last year at Ft. DeSoto State Park. It wasn't foggy - I added a NIK CEP Custom Preset - Soft and Grainy and it looked so much like fog I figured I'd put it in as a theme entry.:S3:

I love the position of the leg and foot. Very nice image. I like the fog effect, but am not crazy about the grain. The colors are lovely--white and blue, repeating throughout the image.
Great intense pose of the Snowy Egret. How photogenic of them to have bright yellow feet & yellow face :S3:! Having the bit of yellow color, and the black, is a nice touch in the soft, pale palette of blues and whites. I love the bubbly details of the foreground water, and the subtle layers of blues and whites. I am with Anita about the addition of the grain. For me, all the elements in this image speak to smooth & soft.
This one is a strong image. Great pose, exc. composition and most certainly a unique set of elements coming together to create something unusual. I really like the simple tones with spots of yellow to draw the eye in. Like others, I'm not a fan of the grain effect, it makes the image feel dirty or gritty. I'd also try using a negative clarity or contrast mask on the lower dark water to give it an even softer appearance. The upper most gray band gives the image depth and perspective. I like it a lot!
I really like the pose and the way the bits of yellow color stand out against the bright bird and shore. Nice how surf can look like fog and fog can look like surf. They must be made for each other. Nice!
I love the pose of the bird and the background. I'm with the others about the grain though. I think softer would be my choice.
I like the composition, leg raised on the egret a plus, good for theme. I might have removed about an inch from the bottom. Ditto on grain.
