This bird and image just blow my mind. I cant imagine how you even found this bird to begin with. Love it's pose and how it blends right in. Also love the design of the tree and the bird and how they closely match.
I assume he must be related to the Potoo, notoriously difficult to find, much less capture. Amazing image. Beautifully patterned tree bark adds to the image.

Awesome image. I was looking for one when I was in Malaysia too. It is super hard to find one as they blend in so well with the habitat.

However, frogmouths are not owls. Sadly that is a common misconception in Australia. They are a kind of nightjar.
