It certainly does work! What a great looking bird. I haven't seen this one posted before.
Amazing light and pose.
The bronze/green iridescence is truly beautiful.
You have a good BG and I would crop from the bottom to well above your signature.
I would also clone out the white dot at the waterline for presentation.
A real beauty,
Gail
Beautiful bird, beautiful image :S3:
It does indeed!
Very lovely bird, killer light, pose and I like how the BG colour goes so well with the bird's tones. I see a small amount of banding above the bird's head, probably due jpg compression.
Sweet light and killer bird. Nice BKGR. I'd love to see this with a small crop from below with more at the top. You got the perfect head angle to go with this pose. Detail in the whites and the blacks. Well worth waiting for.
nice image, love the light and colors, good eye contact, well done.
Great light and super capture.
Excellent shot -it almost looks like he's smirking at something!
I agree a little off the bottom would be nice, but this is a shot I really like
Superb photo! Lovely unique bird with wonderful light! Well done!
I will also clone out the white from the water and crop from top and bottom just a bit like Arthur suggested.

I love the deep reds you got on the plumage here. Great light, head angle, background. I like the crop suggestions offered. I do wish the FG would have been water instead (for a continuation of the reflection), but this is what was handed to you and you did well.
Nice low angle, head psotion and color. Great work Ramesh!
