Hi,

I like the idea and the photo, it's a different photo (I am very fond of those). But it's not working out fully, I can't really say why - unfortunately it seems like the light has been very hard, I believe you have made dark areas of the head and the neck more bright - but still: the light takes away some from this photo. I am not sure if the light is what takes it down a little bit. But as I said, this is a very good try of doing something a little bit different.

I think Brutus hit the nail in the head. It's not the compo as much as the harsh light working against you. I like different too :)

An interesting take. I like this angle and the focus on the eye. It could use a little noise cleanup in the blue channel.
