Last June I was searching for Red-throated Pipits (no luck) on the Teller Road, 50 miles from Nome, Alaska. I climbed for a few hours up this hill in search of the bird. All around me Arctic Flowers were blooming. What a few days before had been a brown wasteland, in two days of warm sunny weather was transformed into a tapestry of color. Not sure if this will work small size. I used Topaz Clean effect.
I wish spring would show up soon, this has been the longest winter I can remember. Tomorrow were suppose to just get a bit of a snowstorm that will dump 8-10" of snow south of us. With any luck we may only get 4-5" of snow and the temperature will drop to -17C (1 F).
We've been waving the white flag for a while time for it to be over. Bring on spring. :tinysmile_shy_t:

Hey, Paul, I was wondering if winter had done you in:S3: The spring colors are gorgeous - that must have been quite a sight. Spring is tantalizingly close here although it's supposed to be in the high 30's tomorrow morning. But everything is blooming and green. Hope your spring comes soon.

That's a clever way to contrast the difference the sunny weather made. I like the way you distributed the colors in the frame.
Perhaps a white flag could be interpreted as a request for snow. Try waving a green one. :S3:

This would make a great travel poster for Alaska! Wonderfully put together with the stream dead center taking you back into the image and then the surrounding border explosion of colorful flowers! I like that there is a subdued cloudy gray sky in the stream image, as a bright blue one would distract from the bright surrounding flowers.
Here in northern Colorado we had a driving snowstorm yesterday but sunshine and calm, blue skies today with above freezing temperatures. Yeah!

The insertion of the central landscape nicely gives the individual flower images a sense of place. This is a composition format that I will file away for future reference.

Hi Paul, good to see you back safe and sound! Nice use of the collage and central image, it really works to show your intent with the image. I love the contrast of the colorful wildflowers and the gray sky of the main image. Well done!

What a sight it must have been to see all those lovely blooms. I love that you have framed the image with a collage of flowers. Let's hope mother nature heard your call, this winter has been long and arduous:(
