I can't believe it's Friday - I still have a couple of theme images that I had worked on. Here's one of two ibis fishing at Ft. DeSoto State Park. I used DAP Benson for this one also.:S3:

Very nice Cheryl! It gives the image a nice glow and texture.
Love it -- perfect effect on a great picture!
Great shot and wonderful composition and processing. You did a superb job all the way around. The browns and oranges complement the blues very nicely. I like the DAP effect, too. It makes me wonder if I was too hasty when I tried it out quite a while ago and decided against buying it.
Cheryl, I like the varying layers of the surf and the composition.
Beautiful work. Just the right amount of painterly look. The water is gorgeous. I might darken the legs just a tad.
When I return to an image to view comments, I'll sometimes pause to look at it again. That's not too unusual because there are many images in OOTB that deserve yet another look. This image of yours, though, has had an unexpected effect. It's nice to live so close to Canada during the Olympics because the Canadian channel that's carried on local cable has so much more coverage than I've ever seen on a domestic channel. While eating breakfast this morning, I was watching speed skating. It was truly exciting, but my attention was interrupted by thoughts of this image. That's a gold-medal all-time first.
Hi Cheryl - nice effect, can definitely see this hanging up, soothing colors and I like the layers too.
TFS,
Rachel
Thanks everyone for your comments. And Dennis, that's a huge compliment! I think you'd probably like DAP if you re-tried it. It takes some getting used to but saving the image as a layered PSD makes it much easier because you can tweak parts and change the opacity which I always do.:S3:
Benson and water seem to go together nicely Cheryl. I love this painted effect and that one raised leg is terrific. I wonder about a crop from the top to give more attention to the birds. Hope it goes to print!
