This is another reworked image from a 2006 visit to Hocking Hills State Park in Ohio. Old Man's Cave nature area was given that name because someone lived in a cave, there, in the 1800s. What you see in this image isn't the mouth of that cave, which was either upstream or down from this point and higher in elevation. The rocks in the area were sculpted by melting water from glaciers.

Wonderful textures and colors! You've got to do a video or e-book or something!

This is fabulous. Gives a great sense of height, and the colours with the greens and purples playing off each other are great! Well composed with the path leading to the opening in the rocks. Looks like a painting to me!

Dennis, beautiful details and colors. The background looks like stained glass. Yes, a book seems in order:S3:

Dennis, I also vote for an e-book from you!! Your technique gives a good deal of depth to the image and evokes an emotional reaction. Great interesting colors and I like that tree branch in the lower right that subtly leads you into the image.

Okay, folks, I'll put something together. It's going to take a while because there's already a long list. And because I want to do a bang-up job.
Thank you for the encouragement.

I love the colors and the layers of rock and the textures! The background on the right side is just a bit distracting. Lovely work.
