This guy did not have to fly, but just came out for an appearance. I think if I am not mistaken they have very poor eyesight. Used DAP realism, then poster edges. Finally Dave Seerams snow action. (It was a snowy spring day) Also used the bloat tool to make the eyes on the barn owl larger.

Wow. This is terrific -- the colors, the composition, the expression, the whole look of it. Great job.

Jackie,
Greetings. Diane has it... cold, particularly the grimace looking into the snow. I might have titled it "6-eyes" ;-)... Thanks for posting.
Cheers,

Very creative processing, it has a cool look, pun intended. Love the color palette and the snow action.

The snow texture effect is terrific! "Wise Guy" is a good title, but I did get a laugh out of Michael's "6 eyes"! I like the placement of the owl between the greens of the vest, and that the heads intersect, clearly connecting the owl to the handler.

Yes Michael's title was pretty clever, I wish I had thought of it! Thanks for the comments!

Very nice work, Jackie. I like the owl's gaze and the painterly processing, and I love the falling snow.

Jackie: Thanks for reminding me of these filters. :-)
Great image. Love the snow, the position of the man and Owl. Perfect editing! A photo to stop and look at. I like that the Owl is looking straight at me, that the man is looking away with a grimace, the swirling snow. Your use of bloat on the Owl's eyes is just right--looks completely natural.
