This is just the right frac touch for me. Sometimes it can be overdone, but not here. The brown tones and drooping flowerspeak of the end of summer, end of the flowers, so that is good. like the overall effect. The only "neg" is the vertical line on the right. I assume it is part of the texture and therefore un-fixable but it does seems a bit odd that it is there and no where else.
The parchment colours are perfect for the flower way past its prime. Nice work.
I love finding art in dying flowers! This is very well done -- I love the treatment and colors!
I hadn't noticed the vertical line until Hazel mentioned it -- it doesn't really bother me but I'd think it could be easily cloned, maybe just to minimize it instead of removing it completely.
Hi Gary, I agree that the tint is perfect for conveying the advanced age of the flower. The texture also works really well to add the look of parchment. Nice job!
Gary,
Greetings. I really like this, particularly the color and the texture. I've probably been reading Avian much too much but I want to say if it were turned toward us a bit more... ;-). Thanks for posting.
Cheers,

Good one, Michael! :w3
Great image Michael! I love the colors, fract work, and the texture rocks! You could easily remove the line on the right with the spot healing brush unless you prefer it to be there of course. I have done that many times with various textures. I often wish texture creators wouldn't put so many obvious lines in them. I'm not big on lots of scratches either. :w3
I miss a day and everyone has already said it all :S3:! The effects you used on the drying sunflower are very well done and convey the fall mood just right. Well seen and crafted.
I like the many textures in this image, and the position of the dying Sunflower. Beautiful details, lovely colors, nice texture. Everything works.
Re. lines in textures: I sometimes clone out lines or spots before using a texture. I also often blur the texture so that it does more of what I want.
Thanks to all for the encouraging comments. The redo is minus the line.
