Fracted Old Wreck

It has been awhile since I have posted over here but thought I would share a somewhat new fract. This old dilapidated truck was photographed a few weeks ago while I was assisting Denise Ippolito during one of her workshops here in Ontario. I loved the bullet hole and the colorful paint job on this wreck and the foggy, drizzly weather conditions help to saturate the colors further. I created numerous renditions but my fracted version is one of my faves.

Hi Andrew, nice to see you here again. Looks like you had a great time and collected some nice captures. I like the old truck and the other fallen soldier in the background. Fractalius has given the image an extension of the weeds that are growing around the old vehicles. It looks like a parasite growing over the old truck, trying to pull it even farther down into the earth. What this reminds me of is a parasitic plant we have in California called California Dodder. The frac seems to work well on the nature part, but really distorted the truck, but maybe that's what you wanted and that's ok. Have to admit I'm not a big fan of strong frac, so can't really comment much here except to say I'd like to see some of those other versions.

Love the pop of the red in this! I agree with Kerry that the fractalius adds to the effect of the weeds and brush reclaiming the relics.

I have a Fractalius question. Can you only put a limited amount of presets into the list? I thought I had added some and now I can't find them on the list.

Kerry, it does resemble the California Dodder quite a bit and it looks very invasive too.

Nancy, as far as I know there is no limit...did not check my list to confirm but in the Fractastic eGuide I have 15 or so and I have added a few others since the eGuide was published.

Andrew, thanks to you and Denise for Fractastic. I love old wrecks and this one appears to have a ton of possibilities. The current application is a bit heavy for my taste.

The Frac adds to the image as if it is a weed growing over everything. I like the angle and the colours.

It is always interesting to see the different effects that can be had with Fractalius. This one worked great.
