I used split toning on the original in Lightroom as a color image, not converted to b & w, then I took that into Topaz ReStyle and changed the colors to more orange sky but at not quite 100% opacity so some of the original purple color in the shadows came though. I used a Snap Art painterly effect and added more canvas texture with Ps texturizer.
Very unique image.... I like everything except the canvas filter.... On computer looks like noise. Personal pref though I don't like the photos to canvas in real life either.

Dramatic colors and composition, Judy. I am trying to decide what I think of the canvas filter - maybe just a little less texture for this one? I think it's mainly the purple martin gets a little lost with the texture and the dark clouds.
Great Halloween colors, Judy. I think maybe a little lighter on the canvas texture - it seems to have washed out the lighter cloud behind the martin houses, the houses and the cloud around the martin. I like the composition:S3: I've tried unsuccessfully for years to attract martins but my property is too wooded for their tastes.
Wonderful swirly oranges in the sky! A possibility is to crop this into a pano, eliminating most of the lighter sky at the top, that is a bit distracting. This places more emphasis on the bird houses and bird. I especially like the effect of the left side of the large bird house silhouetted against the bright orange.
Thanks for all the comments. This is the first chance I had to work on the image. Here is a re-do. I turned off the Ps texture layer, used Topaz Clarity with hopefully good results and also painted over the white speckles that were put in as shiny oil paint I suppose by Snap Art to tone them down a bit. I also cropped a bit off the top which I had toyed with before but didn't do it.
