So for me this forum is very inspiring and it makes you want to get better and better. I have been inspired by Diane's IR work, so I pulled out my antique 20D the other day and did some shooting around the condo. Some purple coneflowers were out and this trio seemed to be waiting to be photographed. I like the subtle reflections of light off the petals. I did a vignette around the edges and used the Orton Action by Darwin Wigget. Tweaked in RAW to bring up more contrast and saturation before being sent to PS.

Hi, Jackie, I think this is lovely. Nice soft, interesting colors - great idea to use an Orton:S3:. I think I would tone down the bright-ish petal behind the bottom coneflower petals on the top left (not much because I like the lighter part on the bottom right). The framing is nice also.

Beautiful!! I didn't notice the light area at first, I was so taken with the flowers, but I agree that removing it or toning it woen would make a lovely image even better.

Beautiful delicate tones on the flower petals and a very lovely composition of the trio. I really like the way the center of the middle flower radiates outward in tiny highlighted points that increase in color as they radiate upwards. For this reason I would like to see more of the details of the centers of the other two flowers and not have them obscured with the whitish blur. Very nice framing effect.

Beautiful soft tones, Jackie. Great composition and dof. I agree about the lighter area as mentioned above. Well done.

Beautiful composition and I love the colors and processing. I agree with the above suggestions that might improve it, but it's fine as presented.

Thanks for the comments, Nancy I never noticed the whiter spot on the top most bud. I will have to work on that area. Funny I had a darker version, and I posted this one.
